Arsenal have renewed their interest in Sevilla FC midfielder Lucien Agoume, with the 24-year-old reportedly back on the club’s shortlist after being monitored during the summer of 2025.

The Gunners have recently sent scouts to watch Agoume in action, according to Ficherio, as they assess whether the defensive midfielder could be a suitable addition to their squad. Arsenal are understood to want a clearer picture of his qualities and potential before deciding whether to make a formal approach.

Agoume remains under contract with Sevilla FC until June 2028 and is valued at about 15 million euros by Transfermarkt. The France-born midfielder, who is of Cameroonian origin, is entering an important stage of his career and is expected to take particular care over his next move.

Regular first-team football is likely to be central to any decision. A transfer to Arsenal would only appeal to Agoume if the London club could offer sufficient assurances over his playing time, given the competition for places already present in the Gunners’ midfield.

Arsenal are not the only club monitoring the situation. Fulham are also reportedly following Agoume and could attempt to move ahead of Arsenal in the coming months.

Sevilla FC would not be opposed to selling the player if they receive an offer which they consider satisfactory. However, it remains uncertain whether Arsenal’s current interest will develop into a concrete proposal.

The club’s next task would be to persuade Agoume that a move to London would provide the right environment for his continued development, as well as regular opportunities to play. His decision could therefore depend as much on his expected role as on Arsenal’s willingness to meet Sevilla FC’s valuation.

Agoume currently earns an annual salary of 1,040,000 euros in Andalusia, equivalent to 682,198,480 FCFA.
