Morocco defender Mehdi Mchakhchekh joins Zira FC from Raja Casablanca

Moroccan centre-back Mehdi Mchakhchekh has joined Azerbaijan club Zira FC from Raja Casablanca, completing a move that takes the 22-year-old from Morocco’s Botola Pro Inwi to the Premyer Liqa.

Mchakhchekh will continue his career in Azerbaijan after leaving Raja Casablanca, one of Morocco’s established clubs. His arrival gives Zira a new defensive option as the club adds a player whose primary position is at the heart of the defence.

The transfer brings Mchakhchekh into a different footballing environment, with Zira competing in Azerbaijan’s top division. He leaves the Moroccan league after his time with Raja and begins the next stage of his career abroad.

Mchakhchekh’s listed market value is €325,000, although no transfer fee has been disclosed for the move. No contract length has been provided.
