الاهلي handed separate men’s and women’s groups in Egyptian Volleyball League draw

The Egyptian Volleyball Federation has completed the draws for the men’s and women’s league competitions, with defending champions الاهلي placed in Group One in both tournaments.

الاهلي won the men’s and women’s league titles last season.

Men’s league draw

The men’s teams have been divided into four groups:

Group One: الاهلي, القناة, سموحة, وادي دجلة, الشرطة and 6 اكتوبر.

Group Two: الزمالك, الطيران, طلايع الجيش, الترسانة, ايسترن كومباني and الصيد.

Group Three: بتروجت, الاتحاد, هليوبوليس, مصر للبترول, دلفي and المقاولون.

Group Four: الجزيرة, سبورتنج, الزهور, هليوليدو, الشمس and قارون.

Women’s league draw

The women’s competition will also feature four groups.

Group One: الاهلي, دلفي, الزهور and 6 اكتوبر.

Group Two: الزمالك, وادي دجلة, الشمس and الصيد.

Group Three: سبورتنج, الجزيرة, البنك الاهلي and الاتحاد.

Group Four: المقاولون العرب, سموحة اصحاب الجياد and هليوبوليس.

The الاهلي men’s and women’s teams are also preparing to compete in the Club World Championship, which is scheduled to take place at the end of this year.
