Chiefs’ Golden Arrows match moved to Mbombela Stadium

Kaizer Chiefs’ Betway Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows has been moved to a new date and venue.

The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, 19 September, at King Zwelithini Stadium, but Chiefs confirmed the change on their official social media platforms.

The away fixture will now take place on Sunday, 20 September, at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. Kick-off is set for 15:00.

Chiefs are currently third in the Betway Premiership standings and could move closer to the leading sides with a victory. Three points would allow them to increase the pressure on the top two, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Golden Arrows, meanwhile, are ninth in the table and also need a positive result. A win would help steady their campaign and give them the opportunity to break into the top eight.

Before they turn their attention to Abafana Bes’thende, Fernando da Cruz’s side must first face Polokwane City on Saturday.

Chiefs will travel north for that fixture, which will be played at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Limpopo. The match will also begin at 15:00.

A victory would maintain Chiefs’ perfect start to their league campaign and strengthen their position among the early title contenders.
