Ziyech linked with Lazio move after leaving Wydad AC
Moroccan-Dutch winger Hakim Ziyech, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Lazio in Serie A.
The 33-year-old right winger became unattached after leaving Moroccan club Wydad AC on 6 September 2026. Lazio are the latest club connected with the former Chelsea and Ajax player, who remains available ahead of the new season.
Ziyech joined Wydad in October 2025 after ending a spell with Qatar-based Al-Duhail. Before that, he spent the 2024-25 season at Galatasaray, where he was part of the squad that won the Turkish title for a second consecutive campaign.
His most productive period came in the Netherlands, where he recorded 79 goals and 91 assists in 216 Eredivisie appearances for Heerenveen, FC Twente and Ajax. He moved from Ajax to Chelsea in 2020 in a €40m transfer and helped the English club win the Champions League in the 2020-21 season.
Ziyech also won the FIFA Club World Cup and Uefa Super Cup with Chelsea before moving to Galatasaray, initially on loan, in 2023. His reported market value is €2.2m.
The Lazio link remains a rumour, with Ziyech’s next club yet to be confirmed.
