Youssef Bouchatta joins CR Al Hoceima in free transfer move

Morocco right-back Youssef Bouchatta has joined CR Al Hoceima from Moghreb Tetouan on a free transfer, completing his move on 9 September 2026.

The 36-year-old defender returns to CR Al Hoceima after leaving the club in 2018. Bouchatta has spent much of his career in Moroccan football and has moved between several of the country’s established clubs without a transfer fee.

His latest switch came after one season with Moghreb Tetouan, whom he joined from CA Khenifra as a free agent in August 2025. He had previously spent the 2021-22 campaign with CA Khenifra, following spells at RCA Zemamra and KACM Marrakech.

Bouchatta began his senior career with Moghreb Tetouan’s reserve side before progressing to the first team. He also represented Mouloudia and CR Al Hoceima earlier in his career, establishing a long association with clubs from Morocco’s domestic football system.

The Tetouan-born defender has won the Moroccan championship twice, both times with Moghreb Tetouan. Those titles came in the 2011-12 and 2013-14 seasons, providing the main honours of his senior career.

Bouchatta’s career record includes 112 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, with one goal and seven assists. He has also featured in the CAF Champions League, the Moroccan Coupe du Trone and the Excellence Cup. In continental competition, he made eight appearances and registered one assist.

A right-footed full-back standing 1.78m tall, Bouchatta now returns to the club he represented before his 2018 move to Moghreb Tetouan. His career has also included free transfers between RCA Zemamra, CA Khenifra, KACM Marrakech, Mouloudia and CR Al Hoceima.

The move was completed without a transfer fee, with Bouchatta leaving Moghreb Tetouan to join CR Al Hoceima on 9 September 2026.
