Cameroon forward Eva Wankewai joins Iraklis from KF Teuta

Cameroon centre-forward Eva Wankewai has joined Cypriot club Iraklis from KF Teuta on a free transfer.

The 29-year-old has signed a contract running until 31 May 2027, moving to Iraklis’ second-division squad after less than a year with Teuta in Albania’s Kategoria Superiore.

Wankewai made the switch on 9 September 2026 and had not appeared for Teuta in the opening three possible league matches of the 2026-27 season. He now begins a new chapter in Cyprus, where he will provide a left-footed option through the middle of the attack.

Born in Kelleng, Cameroon, Wankewai stands 1.85m tall and has played as a centre-forward throughout his recorded career. His move to Iraklis follows a series of free transfers across several countries, including a January 2026 switch from FK Bylis to KF Teuta.

Before joining Teuta, Wankewai spent time with Bylis after moving from Iran’s Mes Rafsanjan in September 2025. He had joined Mes Rafsanjan from MZ Hakka in August 2024, while his career also includes a spell with Bulgaria’s CSKA 1948.

The forward joined CSKA 1948 from Azerbaijan’s Turan Tovuz in July 2023, having previously played for A. Keciorengucu, Apollon Pontos and AE Karaiskakis. Earlier in his career, he spent time with Greek clubs including MC Algiers, Aittitos Spata, Trikala, Asteras Tripoli and Veria, after beginning his senior career with Cameroon side Apejes FC.

His only recorded transfer fee came when he moved from CSKA 1948 to MZ Hakka in January 2024 for €120,000. All of his subsequent moves, including the transfer to Iraklis, have been completed without a fee.

Wankewai’s arrival gives Iraklis an experienced attacking addition under contract through the end of May 2027. The Cameroon forward has now completed his free transfer from KF Teuta to Iraklis.
