Al-Qwarah sign Saudi Arabia and Central African Republic midfielder Amjad Hawsawi

Saudi Arabia and Central African Republic midfielder Amjad Hawsawi has joined Al-Qwarah from Al-Asyah on a free transfer.

Hawsawi, 25, completed the move on 9 September 2026 after spending the previous part of the 2025-26 season with Al-Asyah. He becomes an Al-Qwarah player following a series of moves between Saudi clubs in recent seasons.

The defensive midfielder began the 2025-26 campaign at Al-Yarmouk before switching to Al-Asyah on 1 January 2026. His move to Al-Yarmouk came from Munief in October 2025, also on a free transfer.

Hawsawi started his senior career with Al-Taawoun, joining the club from its under-19 side in July 2021. He later moved to Qilwah Club in September 2022 and then spent time with Wej SC, before continuing his career with Munief, Al-Yarmouk and Al-Asyah.

The midfielder developed through Saudi football, having previously played for Al-Wehda Under-19 and Al-Tsamh before joining Al-Taawoun’s youth set-up. He has represented the national-club side Al-Qwarah Club, while his listed nationalities are Saudi Arabian and Central African Republic.

At 1.73 metres, Hawsawi is primarily a defensive midfielder and is right-footed. His move to Al-Qwarah adds a player with experience across several Saudi clubs, including Al-Taawoun and Wej SC, to the club’s midfield options.

Hawsawi’s highest recorded market value was €25,000 during his earlier spell with Qilwah Club and Al-Taawoun. No contract length has been provided for his move to Al-Qwarah.

The transfer continues a recent period of movement in Hawsawi’s career, with Al-Qwarah becoming his sixth senior club since he left Al-Taawoun’s Under-19 team. His arrival follows his latest free-transfer move to Al-Asyah earlier in the 2026 calendar year.

Hawsawi’s switch to Al-Qwarah was completed on 9 September 2026.
