Taha Mohamed Taha leads 13-man Al Ahly absence list for Al Mokawloon match

Al Ahly manager Houcine Ammouta has left 13 players out of his squad for the Egyptian Premier League meeting with Al Mokawloon Al Arab, with Taha Mohamed Taha among those omitted for technical reasons.

The match will take place at Al Mokawloon Al Arab Stadium in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League. Ammouta has excluded all 13 players from his plans for the fixture, with the decision described as technical rather than injury-related.

The list includes Taha Mohamed Taha, who is the most prominent name among the players left out, alongside a number of other Al Ahly squad members.

The full list of absentees is:

– Karim Fouad – Taha Mohamed Taha – Omar El Saai – Tawfik Mohamed – Omar Sayed Moawad – Mohamed Abdallah – Mahmoud Salah – Ahmed Eid – Reda Slim – Achraf Dari – Ahmed Khaled “Koka” – Karim El Debes – Mohamed Raafat

The omissions come after all of Al Ahly’s injured players recovered, meaning Ammouta’s selection decisions were made on technical grounds.

One player returning to the squad is Emam Ashour, who has recovered from injury and is available again for the match. His inclusion marks a return to the Al Ahly team after his spell on the sidelines.

Al Ahly will face Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the fourth round of the league campaign, with the game being played at Al Mokawloon Al Arab Stadium. The match will see Ammouta select from the available players after leaving the 13-man group out of his plans.

The absence list contains players from several positions, including defenders Karim Fouad, Ahmed Eid, Achraf Dari and Karim El Debes. Midfield and attacking options such as Taha Mohamed Taha, Omar El Saai, Reda Slim and Mohamed Raafat are also not included.

Al Ahly’s preparations for the fixture have therefore included the return of Emam Ashour, but also a sizeable group of players who will not take part. Ammouta’s decision follows the recovery of the club’s injured players and reflects his technical assessment of the squad for this particular league match.

The meeting with Al Mokawloon Al Arab is Al Ahly’s fourth-round fixture in the Egyptian Premier League. The club’s squad will be shaped by the return of Emam Ashour and the omission of the 13 players named by the manager.
