Abdulaziz Al-Fawaz stars as Jawwy Elite League produces a round of surprises

Abdulaziz Al-Fawaz led the standout performers in the third round of the Jawwy Elite League after his two goals gave Al Fateh a 2-1 victory over Al Nassr in one of the weekend’s biggest shocks.

The result made Al-Fawaz the most influential individual player of the round, with his decisive contribution earning Al Fateh three valuable points against one of the competition’s strongest clubs.

His brace was important not only because it accounted for both of his side’s goals, but also because it came against Al Nassr. Al-Fawaz’s performance therefore stood out in a round in which several players made a significant impact for their teams, either by scoring or by helping to shape important results.

Amadou Diang of Al Hazem finished second in the list after scoring twice in his team’s 3-1 win over Al Fayha.

The two goals played a direct role in securing Al Hazem’s first victory of the season. The defending champions had opened their campaign with a defeat by Al Jabalain before missing the second round because their match against Al Watan was postponed.

Al Hazem’s success was among the notable results in a third round marked by unexpected outcomes, as the champions began to regain their momentum through a convincing win.

Goals prove decisive

Loay Al-Muhaimeed also made the selection after scoring for Al Taawoun in their 2-1 victory over Al Hilal.

The midfielder’s goal came during a demanding match against one of the competition’s leading clubs and helped Al Taawoun claim an important result. His contribution secured him a place among the five leading performers of the round.

Ammar Al-Ghamdi continued his impressive start to the season with Al Ittihad, scoring in a comprehensive 4-1 win over Al Wehda.

The goal was Al-Ghamdi’s second in successive matches, underlining his attacking influence during the opening stages of the campaign. His continued ability to find the net has established him as one of Al Ittihad’s most prominent performers after three rounds.

The final place went to Abdullah Al-Ajian of Al Kholood, who returned to the scoresheet by scoring his first goal of the season against Al Urouba.

Al-Ajian’s strike contributed to a 3-0 win for Al Kholood. The result also gave his side a notable defensive distinction: Al Kholood were the only team in the third round to keep a clean sheet.

The five players were recognised after a round in which goals made a decisive difference across several matches. Al-Fawaz’s double against Al Nassr remained the most prominent individual display, while Diang, Al-Muhaimeed, Al-Ghamdi and Al-Ajian each played important roles in victories for their respective clubs.
