Abdul Kader Keita linked with FC Arges move after Al-Riyadh switch

Ivorian midfielder Abdul Kader Keita, currently with Al-Riyadh, has been linked with a move to Romanian SuperLiga club FC Arges.

Keita, 25, joined Al-Riyadh from FC Rapid 1923 on 21 August 2026 after completing a free transfer. He has made two appearances in the Saudi Pro League this season, playing 151 minutes, but was sent off in one of those matches.

The defensive midfielder has also been listed in connection with a return to Romania, where he previously played for CFR Cluj. Keita helped the club win the Romanian Cup in the 2024-25 season and spent part of that campaign on loan at CFR Cluj from Rapid 1923.

He moved permanently from Rapid to CFR Cluj in January 2024 after a spell with Turkish side Sivasspor. Before that, he won the Belgian Second League with KVC Westerlo in 2021-22.

Keita has dual Ivorian and French nationality and is primarily a right-footed defensive midfielder. His current market value is listed at €1.5m.

The proposed move to FC Arges remains a rumour, with Keita still registered as an Al-Riyadh player.
