Raja Club Athletic have opened negotiations with Portuguese midfielder Miguel Reisinho as they continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The Moroccan club’s recruitment drive is not yet complete despite the signings already made in recent weeks. Its latest effort is focused on adding further quality to midfield, with Reisinho identified as a player who could provide an important reinforcement.
According to Le Site Info Sport, discussions are being led by Raja Club Athletic sporting director Matias Rogerio. He is handling the contact with Reisinho’s representative while working in coordination with the club’s sports committee.
The talks are aimed at reaching an agreement that would allow the Portuguese player to join Raja Club Athletic during the current summer transfer window. No agreement has yet been confirmed, but the possibility of the move is considered strong because Reisinho is currently a free agent.
That status would allow Raja Club Athletic to pursue the player without having to negotiate a transfer fee with another club. It could therefore make the deal more straightforward, provided the club and the player can settle the remaining terms.
Raja’s interest reflects the club’s desire to strengthen the centre of midfield before the start of the new campaign. Club officials view Reisinho as someone capable of making a meaningful contribution, based on the experience he has gained during his previous spells.
Reisinho’s most recent club was South African side Mamelodi Sundowns. He subsequently became available as a free agent, creating the opportunity for Raja Club Athletic to enter negotiations over a possible move.
The Moroccan club’s approach forms part of a wider attempt to complete its squad-building work before the new season begins. The administration wants to assemble a stronger team with greater capacity to compete, and further midfield depth is regarded as an important part of that process.
Matias Rogerio’s discussions with the player’s agent, alongside the sports committee, represent the latest stage of Raja Club Athletic’s recruitment plans. The club has already made additions during the current preparation period, but its management continues to assess opportunities in the market.
Reisinho’s availability has opened the door for a potential agreement without the financial complication of a transfer between clubs. Raja will now seek to turn its interest into a completed signing as it works towards finalising a squad capable of meeting its ambitions for the season ahead.
