Morocco midfielder Hossam Essadak starts Saudi adventure with Al-Fateh

Morocco attacking midfielder Hossam Essadak has joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Fateh on loan from Union Touarga, opening a new chapter in the 21-year-old’s career.

Essadak’s move was completed on 6 September 2026 and will keep him at Al-Fateh until 30 June 2027. The Moroccan becomes part of a club competing in Saudi Arabia’s top division after spending the previous stage of his career in the Botola Pro Inwi with Union Touarga.

The left-footed midfielder made 37 league appearances for Union Touarga, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He also recorded one goal and one assist in five appearances in the Moroccan Throne Cup, while featuring in the Excellence Cup and CAF Confederation Cup.

Essadak joined Union Touarga from AM Football on a free transfer in January 2024. His time at the club included appearances in domestic and continental competition before his switch to Saudi Arabia.

The Casablanca-born player has also achieved success with Morocco at international age-group and domestic level. He was part of the Morocco side that won the African Nations Championship in the 2024-25 campaign and helped Morocco Under-20s claim the 2025 Under-20 World Cup.

Essadak, who stands 1.80m tall, now moves into a different league and joins Al-Fateh with a contract lasting through the end of June 2027.
