Morocco midfielder Younes Douib seals Ait Melloul switch from USM Oujda

Morocco midfielder Younes Douib has rejoined Ait Melloul from USM Oujda on a free transfer, giving the central midfielder a fresh opportunity with the club he previously represented.

The move was completed on 4 September 2026, with Douib agreeing a contract that runs until 30 June 2027. The 27-year-old was born in Agadir and plays primarily in central midfield, strengthening Ait Melloul’s options in the middle of the pitch.

Douib leaves USM Oujda after a spell that began in August 2024, when he joined the club from Ait Melloul without a transfer fee. His latest switch marks a return to familiar surroundings and another move in a career spent largely within Moroccan football.

Before joining USM Oujda, Douib had also represented Widad Temara and COD Meknes. He moved from Widad Temara to Ait Melloul in January 2024, having joined Widad from COD Meknes at the start of the 2023-24 season. His earlier move to COD Meknes came from Ait Melloul in July 2022.

Douib’s recent playing record includes appearances in both the Coupe du Trone Marocaine and the Excellence Cup. He played 90 minutes in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine and made a brief one-minute appearance in the Excellence Cup.

His return places him back at Ait Melloul after two years away. The club is the latest stop in a sequence of free transfers that has also taken him between Ait Melloul, COD Meknes, Widad Temara and USM Oujda.

Douib has now formally completed his free transfer to Ait Melloul, with his new contract secured until the end of June 2027.
