Aris Saloniki target Portuguese-Guinea-Bissau winger Bruma in Benfica transfer move

Portuguese-Guinea-Bissau winger Bruma has been linked with a move from Benfica to Greek Super League 1 club Aris Saloniki.

The 31-year-old joined Benfica from Braga on 3 February 2025 in a €6.5m transfer and remains under contract with the Portuguese club until 30 June 2028.

Bruma has yet to feature for Benfica in the early stages of the 2026-27 campaign, recording no appearances in three possible Liga Portugal matches. He has also not played in Benfica’s six Europa League qualifying fixtures listed this season.

The left winger began his senior career with Sporting before moving to Galatasaray in 2013. He has since played in Turkey, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Greece and Portugal, including spells with RB Leipzig, PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, Fenerbahce and Braga.

Bruma won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal in 2019 and has also collected domestic honours in Portugal, Turkey, Greece and the Netherlands. His most recent major club success came with Braga, who won the Portuguese league cup in the 2023-24 season.

Any move to Aris would see Bruma leave Benfica less than two years after arriving from Braga, with the rumour emerging while he has yet to make a competitive appearance for the club this season. His Benfica contract is due to run until June 2028.
