Femi Azeez completes Brighton transfer from Millwall
Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez from Millwall on a four-year contract, with the transfer fee undisclosed.
The 25-year-old arrives on the south coast following an impressive campaign at Millwall, where he played an influential role in the club’s push for the Championship play-offs. His performances have earned him the chance to step up and prove himself with a Premier League club.
Azeez, who was born in London and is eligible for Nigeria internationally, adds another dynamic option to Brighton’s attacking group. Known for his direct running, pace and ability to unsettle defenders in wide areas, the former Millwall man will now look to adapt quickly to the demands of top-flight football.
Brighton sporting director Mike Cave praised the new signing, saying: “We are delighted to welcome Femi to our squad. He joins us after an outstanding season at Millwall, where he played a key role in helping the club reach the play-offs.”
The move represents a major opportunity for Azeez after his strong progress in the English game. Brighton will hope his form, energy and attacking quality can translate successfully at the Amex Stadium this season.
