Derby linked with Union SG striker Mohammed Fuseini as Championship move emerges

Ghana forward Mohammed Fuseini has been linked with a move from Union SG to Derby, with the Championship club emerging as a possible destination for the 24-year-old centre-forward.

Fuseini has made two appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season, providing one assist, and has scored once in two Champions League qualifying outings.

He joined Union SG from Austrian club Sturm Graz in July 2024 in a €2m deal and helped the Belgian side win the Belgian title in his first season. He also won the Belgian Cup with Union SG in 2026.

Fuseini’s current market value is listed at €2.5m, while his contract with Union SG runs until 30 June 2028. That deal means the Belgian club are under no immediate pressure to sell, should interest from Derby develop into a formal approach.

The forward began his senior career with Sturm Graz II before progressing to the Austrian club’s first team. He spent part of the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Randers in Denmark, then returned to Sturm Graz before moving permanently to Union SG.

The rumour comes as Derby are linked with adding a Ghanaian international-level attacking option to their Championship squad, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached. Fuseini remains a Union SG player under contract through the end of June 2028.
