RB Leipzig sign Chelsea striker Marc Guiu on five-season deal

RB Leipzig have signed Chelsea forward Marc Guiu on a five-season contract that will keep the Spain international at the German club until 2031.

The transfer fee is reported to be €15m, with Guiu set to wear the number nine shirt for RB Leipzig. The club announced the deal for the 20-year-old striker, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2024.

Guiu spent last season on loan at Sunderland after arriving at Chelsea, but his time with the Championship club was limited. He made only three appearances during the loan spell and scored once.

The move to RB Leipzig represents the next stage of Guiu’s career after an initial period at Chelsea in which he featured 29 times. He scored eight goals for the west London club and also provided two assists.
