Mykhailo Mudryk set for Tottenham move after agreement with Chelsea

Mykhailo Mudryk is close to completing a move from Chelsea to Tottenham Hotspur after all the terms of a summer loan deal were agreed, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Romano said the agreement includes Mudryk’s personal terms, with the Ukraine international expected to join Tottenham on a paid loan for the duration of the arrangement.

The deal is also understood to contain an option for Tottenham to buy Mudryk permanently, although that clause will not be mandatory.

“🚨⚪️ BREAKING: Mykhaylo Mudryk to Tottenham, here we go! Everything agreed also on personal terms.Mudryk joins#THFCon paid loan and also understand there will be a buy option clause not mandatory in the agreement. The Ukrainian will re-join De Zerbi. 🇺🇦”

Romano published the update on his account on X, describing the move as agreed and confirming that the next phase would see Mudryk reunite with Roberto De Zerbi.

The Ukrainian previously worked with De Zerbi at Shakhtar Donetsk. Their reunion at Tottenham would therefore bring the player back under the management of the Italian coach, having already shared a spell together at the Ukrainian club.

Mudryk’s move remains subject to the formal completion of the transfer process, but the key elements of the agreement have been settled, including the player’s personal conditions. Tottenham’s proposed arrangement gives the club the chance to make the transfer permanent at a later stage, without obliging them to do so.

The deal would see Mudryk leave Chelsea temporarily during the current summer transfer window and join Tottenham on a loan that includes a fee. The agreement, as reported by Romano, does not represent an immediate permanent transfer because the purchase provision is optional rather than compulsory.

Romano’s report therefore places Mudryk on the verge of a move across London, with Tottenham set to become his next club and De Zerbi again his manager. The reported agreement covers the loan fee, the personal terms and the non-mandatory buying option, meaning all the principal details have now been resolved.
