Real Murcia recruit 20-year-old Usse Diao from Torremolinos

Spain-Senegal attacking midfielder Usse Diao has joined Real Murcia from Torremolinos on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

Diao, 20, moves to Real Murcia after one season with Torremolinos in Primera Federacion – Gr. II. He made 41 league appearances during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring five goals and playing 2,024 minutes. He also featured once in the Copa del Rey, spending 15 minutes on the pitch.

The right-footed midfielder was born in Ndongane and stands 1.82m tall. His move keeps him in Primera Federacion – Gr. II, with Real Murcia completing the deal on 31 August 2026.

Diao joined Torremolinos from Betis Deportivo in August 2025, also on a free transfer. He had previously progressed from Betis’ under-19 side into the club’s reserve team, having moved to Betis U19 from Cadiz U19 in February 2024.

His route through Spanish football began with Balon de Cadiz, whom he joined from Badajoz U19 in 2021. He then moved to Cadiz U19 in 2022 before making the switch to Betis’ youth set-up.

The transfer adds a midfielder with a full season of senior league football behind him to Real Murcia’s squad. Diao’s 41 appearances for Torremolinos represented his most substantial recorded campaign at senior level, while his five goals came from an attacking midfield role.

Real Murcia have secured Diao without a transfer fee, and the player is now contracted to the club through June 2028.
