Vis Pesaro release Italy-Senegal midfielder Mohamed Thiane

Italy-Senegal midfielder Mohamed Thiane has left Vis Pesaro and become a free agent, bringing his time with the Serie C club to an end.

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder’s departure was completed on 31 August 2026, after he had been part of the Vis Pesaro squad since July 2023. No transfer fee was recorded for the move.

Thiane, who was born in Vertova, Italy, is eligible to represent both Italy and Senegal. He is a right-footed midfielder whose primary role is in defensive midfield.

Before leaving Vis Pesaro, Thiane had not made an appearance for the club during the opening matches of the 2026-27 campaign. He was unused in Serie C – Girone B and Coppa Italia Serie C fixtures before his departure.

His time at Vis Pesaro also included two loan spells. He joined Fossombrone on loan in January 2025 and returned to Vis Pesaro at the end of that season. In July 2025, he moved to Termoli on another loan, coming back to Vis Pesaro on 30 June 2026.

Thiane initially joined Vis Pesaro from Monza Under-17s in July 2023. He had moved to Monza from Scanzorosciate the previous year, also on a free transfer, as he continued his progression through Italian football.

The midfielder had previously been valued at €75,000 before his market value was listed at €50,000 in May 2026. His departure now leaves him without a club as he looks for the next step in his career.

Thiane’s exit from Vis Pesaro was completed on 31 August 2026.
