Josha Vagnoman: Nottingham Forest linked with move for Stuttgart defender

Josha Vagnoman, the Germany and Ivory Coast international, is the subject of reported interest from Nottingham Forest, with the Stuttgart right-back linked with a move to the Premier League.

Vagnoman, 25, has made two appearances for Stuttgart this season, scoring in the Bundesliga and providing an assist in the DFB-Pokal. He has played the full 90 minutes in the league and 90% of Stuttgart’s cup fixture.

The defender joined Stuttgart from Hamburg in July 2022 for a reported €4.5m and has since been part of the squad that won the German Cup in 2024-25.

Any potential agreement would need to account for Vagnoman’s existing contract, which runs until 30 June 2028. Stuttgart’s current valuation of the player is listed at €10m, although that figure does not represent a confirmed asking price or transfer fee.

Vagnoman began his senior career at Hamburg after progressing through the club’s academy and was recognised with a Fritz Walter Silver Medal in 2019. He later helped Germany Under-21s win the European Championship in 2021.

The reported link places him among the players Nottingham Forest could consider as they look to strengthen in the Premier League, but there has been no confirmation that a transfer has been agreed. For now, Vagnoman remains a Stuttgart player under contract through the end of the 2027-28 season.
