West Ham linked with Stuttgart defender Josha Vagnoman

Josha Vagnoman, the Germany and Ivory Coast defender at Stuttgart, has been linked with a move to West Ham in the Championship.

The 25-year-old right-back remains under contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2028, with the potential move emerging on 31 August. No transfer has been confirmed and no probability has been attached to the rumour.

Vagnoman has made one Bundesliga appearance this season, starting and scoring once, while also registering an assist in one DFB-Pokal appearance. He joined Stuttgart from Hamburg in July 2022 in a deal worth €4.5m.

The defender was part of Stuttgart’s German Cup-winning side in the 2024-25 season and has spent the majority of his senior career in Germany. Born in Hamburg, Vagnoman came through Hamburg’s youth system before making the move to Stuttgart.

A switch to West Ham would represent a move from the Bundesliga to England’s second tier, although the details of any proposed fee or negotiations have not been established. Vagnoman’s current market value is listed at €10m, while his Stuttgart contract still has almost two years to run.

For now, the right-back remains a Stuttgart player, with the club retaining him under contract through June 2028.
