Liverpool complete record deal for France winger Bradley Barcola

Liverpool have announced the signing of France international Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a reported £123m deal, subject to international clearance.

The 23-year-old winger has agreed a five-year contract with Liverpool and will wear the number 29 shirt.

Liverpool confirmed the move on Monday through a statement on the club’s website, saying: “We are delighted to announce the completion of the signing of Bradley Barcola, subject to the necessary international clearance.”

The club did not disclose the transfer fee. However, several reports put the value of the agreement at £123m, comprising an initial £106m payment and a further £17m in potential add-ons.

Barcola arrives at Liverpool after a highly successful campaign with Paris Saint-Germain. He made 49 appearances for the French club last season, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists as PSG won Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League.

The France forward faced competition for his position at Paris Saint-Germain from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.

Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in the summer of 2023 and made 152 appearances for the club in all competitions. During that time, he scored 39 goals and registered 37 assists.

His honours with Paris Saint-Germain include two UEFA Champions League titles, two UEFA Super Cup victories, the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, three French Super Cup titles and two Coupe de France triumphs. The list of honours provided by the club also records three French Super Cup titles again.

Barcola was part of the France squad at the 2026 World Cup, where Les Bleus finished fourth.

His move to Liverpool brings to an end his spell in Paris after two seasons in which he established himself as an important attacking player and collected major domestic, European and international club honours.

Liverpool’s announcement remains conditional on the completion of the required international clearance process. Once that approval is secured, Barcola will officially begin his five-year spell at the club.

The reported structure of the transfer makes the deal worth £123m in total, with the majority of the fee guaranteed and the remaining £17m dependent on add-ons. Liverpool have not provided details of those conditions.

Barcola’s arrival also reunites him with the next stage of his career after his development at Lyon and his emergence as a France international at Paris Saint-Germain. In Paris, he competed directly with Kvaratskhelia and Doue while continuing to contribute goals and assists across all competitions.

He leaves PSG having played 152 matches for the club, scoring 39 times and setting up 37 goals. His final season included 49 appearances, 13 goals, seven assists and victories in Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League.
