Orlando Pirates name starting XI for MTN8 semi-final second leg against Sekhukhune United

Orlando Pirates have named their starting XI for today’s MTN8 semi-final second leg against Sekhukhune United at Orlando Amstel Arena, with the Buccaneers defending a narrow 1-0 advantage from the opening match.

That first-leg victory puts Orlando Pirates in a strong position to reach the Wafa Wafa final and makes them clear favourites to progress. The hosts have also beaten Sekhukhune United 2-0 in their midweek Betway Premiership meeting, giving them two wins from two against Cedric Kaze’s side in their most recent encounters.

However, Sekhukhune United will take confidence from their record at Orlando Amstel Arena before those two matches. Babina Noko had won back-to-back games at the venue, a run that will ensure the home side remain alert despite their lead in the tie.

Orlando Pirates are bidding to reach a fifth consecutive MTN8 final. The Buccaneers have won the competition in each of the past four years and began the 2026/27 campaign strongly, recording five victories and one draw in their first six matches.
