Ismaily suffer second straight defeat as Pharco v El Mansoura abandoned

Ismaily’s difficult start to the Professional League continued as they suffered a second consecutive defeat, losing 2-1 to WE in the second round of the competition.

The result leaves Ismaily without a point from their opening two matches. They began their campaign with a 3-1 defeat by Masar before being beaten again by WE in the latest round.

Five matches were played on the final day of the second round. WE secured victory through goals from Hossam Ahmed and Yasser Zahlaq, while Anwar Saqr scored Ismaily’s only goal from the penalty spot.

The defeat represents another setback for Ismaily, who were unable to recover from their unsuccessful opening fixture. WE held on to claim their first victory in the match, with the two goals enough to outweigh Saqr’s penalty for Ismaily.

Pharco win but match with El Mansoura does not finish

Pharco made it two wins from two by beating El Mansoura 2-0 in a match that did not reach a conventional conclusion.

Mohamed Essam Kamal and Mohamed Abdel Latif Grendo scored Pharco’s goals, giving the club another victory after their successful opening round.

The match was interrupted by a protest from El Mansoura’s players, who objected to the referee’s decision not to award their side a goal. The referee waited until the end of the scheduled playing time before bringing the game to a close.

Despite the dispute, Pharco’s two goals were recorded as the decisive contribution in a match that ended without the full contest being completed.

Masar maintain perfect start

Masar also recorded their second successive victory, defeating Dayrout 4-0.

Ayman Nada scored twice, while Ahmed El Shamy and Samir Balia added one goal each. The emphatic result followed Masar’s 3-1 victory over Ismaily in the opening round.

Masar therefore remain unbeaten after two matches, while their latest result gave them a second consecutive win by a four-goal margin.

Two goalless draws

Baladiyat El Mahalla collected their first point of the Professional League season after drawing 0-0 with El Dakhleya.

Neither side found a breakthrough, leaving Baladiyat El Mahalla with a point from the match and their first result of the campaign.

The day’s other fixture also ended goalless, with El Nasr and Haras El Hodoud sharing the points after a 0-0 draw.

The result completed the second round’s schedule, with Ismaily’s defeat and Masar and Pharco’s victories among the key outcomes.
