Torremolinos bring in Danish-Nigerian forward Ifenna Dorgu on free transfer

Danish-Nigerian centre-forward Ifenna Dorgu has joined Spanish club Torremolinos from Botev Plovdiv on a free transfer.

The 20-year-old has signed a contract with Torremolinos until 30 June 2027 and moves to a side competing in Primera Federacion – Group II. Dorgu leaves Botev after a short spell with the Bulgarian top-flight club, having arrived there in May 2026 as a free agent.

Dorgu was without a club before joining Botev, and his move to Spain represents the latest step in a career that has included football in Denmark, Italy and Bulgaria. He began his senior pathway at Danish club HB Koge, having progressed from the club’s youth system to its under-19 side before joining the senior squad in October 2023.

In August 2024, Dorgu moved from HB Koge to Genoa’s under-20 team on loan. The deal included a €35,000 loan fee, before he returned to HB Koge at the end of the 2024-25 season.

After leaving the Danish club at the beginning of 2026, Dorgu spent several months without a team before signing for Botev Plovdiv. He did not make an appearance for Botev in the opening six possible league matches of the 2026-27 season before completing his move to Torremolinos.

The forward is listed at a market value of €275,000 and is predominantly right-footed. His arrival gives Torremolinos a centre-forward who has experience of clubs across three different European football systems, although his senior competitive record remains limited.

Dorgu holds Danish and Nigerian nationality. His move also continues a period of change in his club career, with the Torremolinos switch coming less than four months after he joined Botev and fewer than two years after beginning his senior football journey at HB Koge.

Torremolinos have secured Dorgu’s services without a transfer fee, with the forward’s contract in Spain running through June 2027.
