Manchester City weigh Jack Grealish move as part of Iliman Ndiaye deal

Manchester City are considering including Jack Grealish in a potential move for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs, as they look to strengthen their attack during the final week of the transfer window.

City have identified the Senegal international as a target while searching for a new forward. However, any deal for the 26-year-old is expected to cost considerably more than 90m euros, Jacobs reports.

The interest comes after Manchester City sold Savio to Tottenham Hotspur for 85m euros this week. Another attacking team-mate, Omar Marmoush, is also reportedly close to joining Spurs, leaving Enzo Maresca’s attacking options significantly reduced and increasing the desire to complete further business before the transfer window closes.

Ndiaye is in his third season at Everton and scored six Premier League goals last season. Although he is primarily used as a right winger, the Senegal international can also operate on the left.

He is under contract with Liverpool until the middle of 2029, according to the report. Manchester City are nevertheless exploring a deal that could involve Grealish moving in the opposite direction.

Grealish spent last season on loan at Everton before returning to Manchester. Jacobs says the England international is very keen on the possibility of going back to the club.

A direct exchange involving Grealish and Ndiaye has not been confirmed, but the proposal would offer Manchester City a way to pursue the Everton winger while also finding a potential destination for one of their own attacking players.

City are also being linked with Cody Gakpo by several media outlets. The Netherlands forward could become available if Bradley Barcola’s expected move from Paris St-Germain to Liverpool goes through.

Gakpo’s situation is being monitored by more than one club. Tottenham Hotspur, alongside Manchester City, are also reported to be interested in the Dutch star.

The possible moves are emerging at a busy point in the transfer window, with attacking changes at several clubs shaping the market. Manchester City’s sale of Savio and anticipated departure of Marmoush have created the need for further attacking reinforcements, while Liverpool’s expected arrival of Barcola could influence Gakpo’s future.

For now, Ndiaye is the principal target identified in Jacobs’ report. His versatility across both wings, his Premier League experience and the possibility of Grealish being included in the deal are central to Manchester City’s interest. However, the likely cost of more than 90m euros means negotiations would represent a significant commitment during the final days of the window.
