Real Madrid linked with Roma midfielder Manu Kone
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for French-Ivorian midfielder Manu Kone, who currently plays for Roma.
The 25-year-old central midfielder joined Roma from Borussia Monchengladbach in August 2024 in a deal worth €18m. He has since established himself as part of the Serie A club’s midfield options and remains under contract until June 2029.
Kone has made one Serie A appearance this season, starting Roma’s match and playing 88% of the available minutes. He was also involved in five matches at the 2026 World Cup, although he did not score or provide an assist.
His current market value is listed at €50m, a figure that indicates the scale of any potential deal involving Roma. The Italian club paid significantly less than that amount when they signed him from Monchengladbach two years ago.
Kone developed at Toulouse before moving to Monchengladbach, where he spent three seasons prior to his switch to Italy. His contract means Roma are under no immediate pressure to sell, with the agreement running through the end of the 2028-29 season.
Any move to Real Madrid would take Kone from Serie A to LaLiga, but the reported interest remains at the rumour stage. For now, he is a Roma player with four years remaining on his contract.
