Moise Kean returns to Fiorentina training as Como work to complete €40m move

Moise Kean returned to Fiorentina training on Thursday morning after being fined by the club, but the Italy striker could soon leave as Como attempt to finalise a €40m transfer.

Como are seeking to complete the deal as they prepare to compete in the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history during the 2026-27 season.

Kean is understood to be keen on moving to Como and was late for Fiorentina’s training session on Wednesday in an apparent attempt to put pressure on the club to approve the transfer.

Fiorentina responded by imposing a fine on the 26-year-old before he returned to the training ground later that evening to complete an individual session.

According to Sky, the two clubs are now discussing the financial details of the proposed agreement. Como have made an offer worth €40m, with €35m guaranteed and a further €5m available in add-ons.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Como are seeking a minor adjustment to the structure of the bonus clauses in the hope of securing Fiorentina’s final approval and completing the signing.

Kean has been an important player for Fiorentina in recent times, but Como are hoping to conclude the transfer before beginning their Champions League campaign.

The move would represent a significant addition for Como as they prepare for their first appearance in Europe’s premier club competition. The club are also expected to lose striker Alvaro Morata during the summer transfer window.

Spanish reports have stated that Morata has given his approval to join Leganes, who play in the Spanish second division.

That potential departure would leave Como seeking attacking reinforcements, with Kean now the focus of their efforts. However, the remaining discussions over the incentive payments must be settled before the transfer can be completed.

The proposed €40m package, including the guaranteed €35m payment and the €5m in potential additions, remains the basis of negotiations between Fiorentina and Como. Di Marzio’s report indicates that Como’s latest step is focused on redrafting the bonus arrangements rather than changing the overall value of the offer.

Kean’s return to Fiorentina’s training ground has therefore not ended speculation over his future. After missing part of Wednesday’s schedule and being punished by the club, he resumed work with Fiorentina on an individual basis before rejoining training on Thursday morning.

With Como eager to strengthen ahead of their historic Champions League campaign, and with Morata’s possible move to Leganes also expected to reshape their forward line, the Italian striker remains at the centre of the club’s transfer plans.
