Jawwy Under-21 League: Five players make an immediate impact as 36 goals are scored

The second edition of the Jawwy Under-21 League began with an attacking flourish, producing 36 goals in the opening round and highlighting five players whose individual performances had a direct influence on their teams’ results.

Mohamed Al-Essa sets the standard

Mohamed Al-Essa was the standout performer after inspiring Al Ettifaq to a 10-1 victory over Al Tadhamon, the biggest win of the opening round.

The forward scored a complete “super hat-trick” and finished the weekend with the highest individual goal tally. His performance was built on sharp movement inside the penalty area, quick reactions and composure when chances arrived.

Al-Essa repeatedly found space in dangerous positions and converted Al Ettifaq’s dominance into a commanding scoreline. His four-goal display made him the most prominent attacking figure of the opening round and immediately placed him among the players to watch as the season develops.

Ziyad Aba makes his mark for Al-Ahli

Ziyad Aba also produced a decisive display, scoring all three of Al-Ahli’s goals in a 3-1 win over Al-Fayha.

Aba found the net in the 28th, 58th and 79th minutes, showing that his influence lasted throughout the match rather than being limited to one spell. Scoring at different stages of the game underlined his fitness, concentration and ability to exploit openings.

His hat-trick has moved him into the early discussion around the leading scorers. He required relatively few opportunities to make a telling contribution and secure all three points for Al-Ahli.

En Rass shines despite Al-Fateh defeat

En Rass produced one of the round’s strongest individual attacking performances even though Al-Fateh endured a difficult evening and lost 6-0 to Al-Ansar.

The striker scored three goals and left a significant impression despite his team’s heavy defeat. His hat-trick was particularly notable because it came against an Al-Ansar side that displayed considerable attacking strength.

Although his goals could not change the result, the performance highlighted Rass’s ability to threaten the opposition goal in challenging circumstances. He will now have the opportunity to turn his individual form into better collective results for Al-Fateh in the coming rounds.

Youssef Al-Salem delivers for Al-Taawoun

Youssef Al-Salem gave Al-Taawoun the perfect start by scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over Al-Najma.

He opened the scoring in the 19th minute before adding a second in the 60th minute to effectively settle the contest. His contribution made him the central figure in an efficient Al-Taawoun performance.

Al-Salem’s display was characterised by calm finishing and efficiency in front of goal. While the opening round produced a high number of goals, he offered a different example of attacking quality: a forward who can make limited opportunities count when the match is finely balanced.

Turki Al-Ghamil completes Al-Hilal comeback

Turki Al-Ghamil was another major influence, scoring twice in three minutes to lead Al-Hilal from behind to a 2-1 win over Al-Faisaly.

Al-Faisaly made an excellent start and took the lead in the second minute. Al-Ghamil restored parity in the 26th minute, then struck again just three minutes later to complete the turnaround and put Al-Hilal ahead.
