Haidara, Doucoure and Bissouma among Mali players weighing late transfer moves

Five Mali internationals could be on the move before the summer transfer window closes in France, Spain, Italy, Germany and England, with Amadou Haidara, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Yves Bissouma, Woyo Coulibaly and Adama Traore “Noss” all facing uncertain futures.

Several of the players are currently without a club, while others have attracted interest from teams looking to strengthen before the deadline. Here is a look at their situations.

Haidara attracting Hull City interest

Amadou Haidara, known as “Doudou”, could leave Racing Club de Lens after struggling for regular playing time since joining the club from Red Bull Leipzig last summer.

The 28-year-old midfielder made 12 appearances for Lens last season, scoring once and providing one assist. Although he remains under contract with the Sang et Or until 30 June 2029, Hull City are reportedly monitoring his situation.

Hull City, who are making their return to the upper tier of English football, are said to be keen on Haidara’s profile as they look to reinforce their midfield. The Tigers could make a formal offer in the coming days.

His market value is estimated at €5m by Transfermarkt.

Doucoure considers options in the Gulf

Abdoulaye Doucoure is a free agent after a spell with Neom SC and is looking for a new project.

The 33-year-old former Everton midfielder has received interest from clubs in the Gulf region, including Al Diriyah, Al Shabab and Al Qadisiya.

However, his salary demands remain significant. Doucoure was the second-highest-paid player at Neom SC, earning €8m per season, behind French forward Alexandre Lacazette, who was reported to earn €15m.

The available market summary lists Doucoure’s value at €5m despite his current free-agent status.

Bissouma remains in demand

Yves Bissouma continues to attract attention after leaving Tottenham this summer. The 29-year-old Mali international midfielder is now without a club, but a number of teams have already made contact over a possible move.

Those interested include Celta Vigo, Valencia CF, Besiktas, Trabzonspor, Benfica Lisbon and Fulham.

Bissouma has continued training with Fulham while he considers his next step. He has extensive experience in English football, having played at least 222 matches in all competitions for Brighton and Tottenham. During that time, he scored eight goals and provided three assists.

His market value is put at €10m in the article’s player valuation list.

Coulibaly could leave Leicester City

Woyo Coulibaly is also expected to leave Leicester City permanently this summer after failing to establish himself in the plans of the club, who now play in League One, the third tier of English football.

The 27-year-old Mali international right-back spent last season on loan at US Sassuolo in Serie A. Sassuolo initially wanted to keep him, but no agreement has yet been reached.

Coulibaly remains under contract with Leicester City until 30 June 2029. Transfermarkt values him at €2m.

There is interest in him from Italy, with Monza, Sassuolo and Venezia among the clubs reportedly following his situation.

Adama Traore preparing for his next challenge

Adama Traore “Noss” helped Amed SK secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig but did not extend his contract this summer, despite receiving an offer from the club.

The 31-year-old Mali international attacking midfielder is now preparing for a new challenge and has interest from clubs in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Traore was named the best player at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup and has previously played for Lille and AS Monaco. Despite that pedigree, his career has not reached the level many expected from his talent.

The valuation list places his current market value at €800,000.
