Fenerbahce weigh move for Frankfurt’s French-Cameroonian winger Bahoya
French-Cameroonian winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, currently at Frankfurt, is the subject of interest from Turkish Super Lig club Fenerbahce, with a possible move being assessed at 11%.
Bahoya, 21, has a market value of €25m and is under contract with Frankfurt until 30 June 2029. The left winger joined the Bundesliga club from Angers SCO in January 2024 for a reported €8m fee.
The proposed move would take Bahoya from Germany to Turkey, although there is no indication that an agreement has been reached between the clubs. Fenerbahce’s interest comes with the player’s current valuation standing well above the fee Frankfurt paid for him.
Bahoya has not featured in Frankfurt’s only listed DFB-Pokal match of the 2026-27 season. He plays primarily on the left side of attack and is naturally right-footed.
Born in Montfermeil, France, Bahoya developed through the Angers academy before progressing to the club’s reserve side and first team. His Frankfurt contract gives the Bundesliga club a long-term position in any potential negotiations with Fenerbahce.
For now, the transfer remains at the rumour stage, with the 11% assessment reflecting the limited indication of progress towards a deal. Bahoya remains a Frankfurt player and is tied to the club for three more seasons beyond the current campaign.
