Nigeria winger Ridwan Sanusi joins Trencin in Slovak switch

Nigeria right winger Ridwan Sanusi has joined AS Trencin from fellow Slovak club MSK Zilina on loan, giving the 23-year-old a new home in the Nike Liga.

Sanusi completed the move on 26 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Trencin running until 30 June 2027. The transfer keeps him in Slovakia’s top flight, with his new club and former side both competing in the Nike Liga.

The winger was born on 21 September 2002 and is listed at 1.72m. He is recognised primarily as a right winger, a role that has defined his playing profile as he moves between two clubs in the same national league.

Trencin’s deal for Sanusi is a loan transfer, with the Nigerian arriving from MSK Zilina for the 2026-27 campaign. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.

The switch was completed shortly after the latest update to Sanusi’s player valuation, which stood at €375,000 on 18 May 2026. His highest recorded market value is €550,000.

Sanusi joins Trencin at a point when the club’s competitive schedule includes Nike Liga matches, as well as qualifying fixtures in the Uefa Conference League and Europa League. His arrival therefore places him within a squad involved in domestic football and European qualification.

The available records show no appearances for Sanusi in those competitions during the current campaign before the move. He had not scored or provided an assist in the listed matches, and had not started a game.

His transfer represents a change of club rather than a move to a different national football system, as both Trencin and Zilina are based in Slovakia and play in the same league. The arrangement also gives Sanusi a contract at his new club through the end of June 2027.

Trencin have now secured the services of the Nigerian winger on loan from Zilina, with the completed agreement beginning on 26 August 2026.
