Rancher’s Bees secure Nigeria striker Jamilu Yusuf from Katsina United

Nigeria centre-forward Jamilu Yusuf has joined Rancher’s Bees from Katsina United, completing an NPFL switch on 25 August 2026.

The 17-year-old striker moves between two clubs in Nigeria’s top flight after establishing himself as a centre-forward for Katsina United. Yusuf was born on 18 March 2009 and represents Rancher’s Bees as they add a teenage attacker to their squad for the 2026-27 season.

Yusuf’s NPFL record stands at 27 appearances, seven goals and two assists. He has played 1,991 minutes in the competition, scoring once every 284 minutes. Those figures mark out his contribution in front of goal while also showing the level of senior football he has already experienced at a young age.

The move keeps Yusuf in the NPFL and gives Rancher’s Bees a forward who has already featured regularly in the competition. His recorded market value is €75,000, while the transfer fee has not been disclosed.

Katsina United are Yusuf’s previous club, with the striker now registered with Rancher’s Bees following the deal completed in August. No contract expiry date has been announced for his new arrangement.

Yusuf’s arrival adds a Nigeria international-profiled centre-forward to the Rancher’s Bees squad, although his club record is the clearest measure of his experience so far. His seven NPFL goals came across 27 appearances before the move, alongside two assists.

The transfer was completed on 25 August 2026, with Yusuf switching from Katsina United to Rancher’s Bees.
