‘I can’t wait to make history’ – Ghana’s Michael Agbekpornu speaks after Raja move

Ghanaian international Michael Agbekporno says he is determined to make a lasting impact at Raja Casablanca after completing his move to the Moroccan club from Spanish side Huesca.

The player has joined Raja on a contract running until 2029 and has quickly settled into the club’s preparations for the new football season.

Speaking to Al-Riyadiya channel, Agbekporno said he had received a warm welcome since arriving in Morocco and was pleased with the atmosphere surrounding the team.

“The coach and staff gave me an excellent welcome and I am happy to be here.”

Agbekporno wants to create history with Raja

The Ghanaian expressed his appreciation to everyone at Raja and said he was eager to contribute to the club’s ambitions.

“I can’t wait to make history together.”

Agbekporno’s arrival adds a Ghanaian presence to one of Morocco’s biggest clubs as Raja prepare for the new campaign.

The former Huesca player is also looking forward to working with his new team-mates as the squad continues its pre-season programme.

The Ghana international said the players are putting maximum effort into their preparations as they seek to start the season strongly.

“We are doing our best and preparing the team, and everyone is putting in more effort so that we can achieve something good in the end.”

Raja officially announced the signing of Agbekporno last Saturday, securing his services until 2029.

The move gives the Ghanaian a fresh opportunity in Moroccan football, where he will hope to establish himself and play an important role in Raja’s pursuit of success in the coming season.
