Aston Villa submit €70m offer to sign Senegal and Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson

Aston Villa have taken a major step towards signing Nicolas Jackson after submitting an offer worth around €70 million, including bonuses, to Chelsea for the Senegal international.

Jackson has emerged as a top transfer target for several European clubs, with Aston Villa making effort to capture his signature at the expense of other interested clubs.

According to reports, Chelsea are now close to accepting the proposal, potentially bringing Jackson’s time at Stamford Bridge to an end.

Aston Villa must still reach an agreement with the 25-year-old striker over personal terms before the transfer can be completed.

With Chelsea keen on permanent sale of Jackson, the Premier League outfit has presented an improved bid in their quest to secure his services for this campaign. Aston Villa have maintained their interest in the forward and their latest bid has now moved negotiations into a decisive phase.

Jackson remains a Chelsea player for now and was included in the club’s 2026/27 squad-number list, keeping the No. 15 shirt.

The Senegalese forward returned to Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Bayern Munich, but his future in west London now appears increasingly uncertain with Aston Villa pushing strongly to secure his signature.
