Nigeria’s Super Falcons defender Tosin Demehin joins Benfica on four-year deal
Nigeria’s Super Falcons defender Tosin Demehin has joined Portuguese giants Benfica in the current summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old centre-back has signed a contract that will keep her at the Lisbon-based club until 2029 after ending his spell with Galatasaray.
With her vast experibcee, the Nigeria international is expected to play an instrumental role for the Portuguese outfit this campaign.
“Demehin, Nigerian international central defender aged 24, is a reinforcement for SL Benfica until 2029,” the club announced.
Demehin spent the past two seasons in Turkey with Galatasaray, where she established herself as an important member of the team.
She made 42 league appearances during her time with the Turkish club, finding the net twice before bringing her spell to an end.
The move to Benfica represents a new chapter in Demehin’s European career as she continues to combine club football with her responsibilities for Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
