Chelsea rule out loan move for Senegal star Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea have ruled out the possibility of allowing Senegal international Nicolas Jackson to leave the club on loan, with the striker increasingly expected to depart Stamford Bridge during the current summer transfer window.

As per reports, the Premier League giants are only prepared to consider a permanent deal for Jackson, with the Blues valuing the 25-year-old at around £65 million.

Aston Villa are among the clubs showing strong interest in the striker and are reportedly in regular contact with the parties involved as they assess their attacking options.

The Villans are preparing for life after Ollie Watkins amid growing interest from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal. Watkins is reportedly pushing for the transfer, while his recent decision not to feature against Brighton has further fuelled speculation surrounding his future.

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery is also familiar with Jackson from their time together at Villarreal, a factor that could work in the Premier League club’s favour as they explore a potential deal.

Atletico Madrid remain another interested party and continue to monitor the situation. However, the Spanish club’s preference for a loan arrangement could prove difficult given Chelsea’s firm stance that Jackson will only be sold permanently.

Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, helping the German giants win the Bundesliga title. Bayern ultimately decided against exercising their option to sign him permanently, paving the way for his return to Chelsea.

The Senegal forward has scored 24 goals in 65 Premier League appearances for Chelsea since joining the club and has also established himself as an important player for his country, earning 37 international caps.

Chelsea have further strengthened their position by tying Jackson to a contract that runs until 2033.

With Aston Villa looking for a potential replacement for Watkins and Atletico Madrid continuing to pursue the striker, Jackson’s future is likely to remain one of the major talking points as the transfer window approaches its deadline.
