Galatasaray reject €130m Al-Hilal bid for Victor Osimhen

Galatasaray have rejected a €130m offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal for Victor Osimhen, despite the Nigeria striker making an impressive start to the season.

According to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Al-Hilal submitted a formal proposal for the 26-year-old, but Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek is not considering allowing the forward to leave.

Osimhen has scored four goals and provided one assist in his first two appearances for Galatasaray this season. His early form has strengthened the club’s belief that his value could rise significantly over the coming months.

Galatasaray’s management reportedly expects the striker to attract offers worth between €150m and €200m next summer. With that valuation in mind, the Turkish club does not want to accept a transfer fee of €130m at this stage.

Osimhen made only 33 appearances for Galatasaray last season, but still finished the campaign with 22 goals and eight assists. He therefore contributed directly to 30 goals and played a prominent part in the club’s league title triumph.

The striker is preparing to continue his season with Galatasaray, who remain determined to keep him and want to see him maintain his current level of performance. The club also hopes that further success will increase his market value before it considers any future proposal.

Osimhen has been linked with a move to Al-Hilal several times during the current summer transfer window. However, Galatasaray continue to insist that their forward will remain with the club.

The decision comes despite the scale of Al-Hilal’s offer and follows Osimhen’s rapid impact at the start of the campaign. Galatasaray believe his performances could lead to more lucrative bids in the future, making it more beneficial to retain him for now rather than agree to an immediate sale.

The Nigeria international’s previous campaign also remains central to the club’s thinking. Although he played fewer than 35 matches, his goal and assist figures made him one of Galatasaray’s most influential players as they secured the league title.

For the moment, the club’s position is clear: Osimhen is expected to continue leading the attack, while Galatasaray monitor how his performances affect his potential value. Any decision over his future is therefore likely to be postponed until a later stage, with the Turkish side holding out for offers that better match their expectations.
