Guinea-Netherlands centre-forward Ibrahima Berete has joined Cyprus club Doxa Pal as a free agent, signing a contract that runs until 31 May 2027.

The 23-year-old completed the move on 21 August 2026 after leaving the free-agent market. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the deal.

Berete was most recently with Marek, where he arrived from Montana on a free transfer in July 2025. His time at Marek ended in September 2025, leaving him without a club before his move to Doxa Pal.

The striker has also played for NK Vukovar 1991 and St Truiden U21 during his senior career. He joined NK Vukovar 1991 from St Truiden U21 in January 2024 on a free transfer, following an earlier spell without a club.

Berete began his development in the Netherlands, featuring in the youth systems of PSV, Feyenoord and Vitesse. He moved from Vitesse U17 to Feyenoord U17 in 2018 for a fee of €13,000, before later joining PSV U17 on a free transfer.

At youth level, Berete recorded nine goals and three assists in 21 appearances in the U17 Div. 1 Fall competition. He added four goals and one assist from 14 appearances in the U17 Div. 1 Spring competition.

The Conakry-born forward stands 1.75 metres tall and is right-footed. His primary position is centre-forward, giving Doxa Pal a recognised attacking option for the new season.

Berete’s international background reflects his dual nationality, with Guinea and the Netherlands listed as his nationalities. He joins Doxa Pal after spells across clubs in the Netherlands, Croatia, Bulgaria and Belgium.

His arrival continues a career that has included academy football at several established Dutch sides and senior experience in different European leagues. The move to Doxa Pal is his latest club change and gives him a contract through the end of May 2027.

Berete has now completed his free transfer to Doxa Pal, where he will remain under contract until 31 May 2027.
