Deportivo La Coruna target Freiburg winger Cyriaque Irie

Cyriaque Irie, the Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast winger at Freiburg, is being linked with a move to LaLiga club Deportivo La Coruna.

The 21-year-old right winger joined Freiburg from Troyes in July 2025 in a deal worth €8.5m. His current market value is listed at €8m, placing the French-born attacker among the club’s significant recent investments.

Irie has made one appearance for Freiburg this season, featuring for 18 minutes in Conference League qualifying. He did not start the match and has yet to record a goal or assist in the competition.

The left-footed player, who stands 1.85m tall, has been used on the right side of attack since moving to Germany. His career at Freiburg remains in its early stages, following a single season with Troyes before the transfer to the Bundesliga club.

Deportivo are competing in LaLiga and have been named as the club interested in taking Irie from Freiburg. No transfer fee or agreement has been established, and the move remains at the rumour stage.

Irie previously joined Troyes from Dijon in August 2024 for €3m, having moved to France after beginning his senior career with Real du Faso. He remains a Freiburg player, with no confirmed change to his contractual situation.
