Newcastle United and RB Leipzig open talks for Christopher Nkunku
Newcastle United and RB Leipzig have made initial contact with AC Milan regarding a possible transfer for Christopher Nkunku.
According to Fabrizio Romano, both clubs have approached the Italian side, although discussions are still at an early stage and no agreement has been reached.
Further conversations are expected as Milan prepare to decide the French forward’s next destination. Nkunku joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea in January, but his stay could be brief as interest from England and Germany continues to grow.
The 28-year-old has a strong connection with Leipzig, where he established himself as one of Europe’s most exciting attackers. A return to the Bundesliga club could appeal to the player, while Newcastle may offer him the chance to compete regularly in the Premier League.
Before moving to Leipzig, Nkunku developed at Paris Saint-Germain. He has also represented France 14 times, adding international experience to his club-level achievements.
Milan are now working to find a solution that satisfies all parties. Newcastle and Leipzig remain among the clubs exploring a deal, but neither has yet submitted an offer that has changed the situation significantly.
For Nkunku, the coming weeks could bring an important career decision. With negotiations continuing, his future remains open as Milan weigh proposals and interested clubs assess their next steps.
