Lommel SK sign striker Don-Angelo Konadu on loan
Lommel SK have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Dutch-Ghanaian forward Don-Angelo Konadu from Ajax on a season-long loan deal.
The Belgian club have also secured an option to make the 20-year-old’s move permanent after the campaign.
Konadu will join head coach Lee Johnson’s squad immediately as he looks to gain regular first-team experience and continue his development at a demanding level. The Amsterdam-born forward entered Ajax’s academy in 2014 and progressed through several youth teams before making his Jong Ajax debut in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie in 2024.
His senior breakthrough followed in December 2025, when he appeared for Ajax in a Champions League match against Qarabag and provided an assist. Days later, he scored his first goal for the club during a Dutch Cup fixture against Excelsior Maassluis. Konadu also helped the Netherlands Under-19 team win the European Championship in 2025.
Lommel sporting director Jeffrey van As praised the striker’s strength, pace and ability to create opportunities for teammates. Konadu said he was delighted with the move and eager to earn minutes, improve further and adapt to Lommel’s style of football.
The forward now has an opportunity to turn his promising potential into consistent senior performances in Belgium.
