Ajax close in on Franco-Guinean youngster Abdoulaye Camara
Ajax are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal to sign highly rated Udinese youngster Abdoulaye Camara.
The Dutch giants have reached an agreement with Udinese over a loan move for the 17-year-old midfielder, with the deal expected to include a virtually mandatory €15 million purchase clause.
The clause would become automatic once certain conditions included in the agreement are met, potentially paving the way for Camara to make his move to Ajax permanent.
Camara, who is of France and Guinean roots has already been given permission to travel to the Netherlands, where he is expected to undergo his medical examinations.
The Guinea-born midfielder will put pen to paper for the Dutch giants after his mandatory medical test.
Should the conditions for the €15 million buyout clause be met, Camara would reportedly commit his long-term future to the Amsterdam-based club, with a contract running until 2031.
The proposed move represents another important step in the teenager’s rapid development.
Camara joined Udinese last summer and spent much of the 2025/26 campaign training alongside the Italian club’s first team. His progress was rewarded with a senior debut in Serie A, as he made one league appearance during the season.
Despite his limited first-team experience, the midfielder has attracted significant attention because of his potential, with Ajax now looking to secure his services and continue his development in the Netherlands.
If completed, the move would see Camara join one of Europe’s most renowned clubs for developing young talent, with Ajax expected to provide him with an environment to further his technical and tactical development.
