Christopher Nkunku set to leave AC Milan

France international of DR Congo descent Christopher Nkunku could be heading for another move this summer, with AC Milan reportedly ready to listen to offers for the French forward.

Nkunku joined the Italian giants from Chelsea last year in a deal worth around €37 million and enjoyed a respectable first season, contributing eight goals and three assists across 35 appearances.

However, the 28-year-old’s position at the club has become uncertain following the arrival of Ruben Amorim as Milan’s new head coach. The Portuguese tactician is believed to have different plans for his attacking options, potentially opening the door for Nkunku to seek a new challenge.

Several clubs have already shown interest in the France international. Borussia Dortmund are among those monitoring his situation and have reportedly made an initial enquiry.

A return to Germany could appeal to Nkunku, given his successful spell with RB Leipzig. He spent several seasons at the Bundesliga club and developed into one of Europe’s most productive attacking players before eventually moving to Chelsea.

Newcastle United are another club keeping an eye on the situation. The Premier League side are understood to view Nkunku as a potential attacking addition and could offer him an opportunity to return to English football.

RB Leipzig have also emerged as a possible destination, with the German club potentially interested in bringing their former star back.

Despite the growing interest, Nkunku is reportedly not considering offers from Türkiye or Saudi Arabia at this stage, leaving a move to either the Premier League or Bundesliga as the more likely options.

With his future at Milan increasingly uncertain, the coming weeks could determine whether Nkunku remains in Serie A or begins another chapter of his career elsewhere.
