Morocco striker Yanis Begraoui attracts Lazio interest as Estoril demand €12m
Italian Serie A club Lazio have joined the race for Morocco international Yanis Begraoui, but Estoril Praia are demanding €12m for the in-form striker.
According to Foot Mercato, Lazio have identified Begraoui as a potential attacking addition after his impressive 2025-26 campaign in Portugal.
The 25-year-old has emerged as one of the leading goalscorers in Liga Portugal, prompting interest from Italy as his performances continue to attract attention across Europe.
Begraoui shines in Portugal
Begraoui scored 20 goals in 34 league appearances for Estoril during the 2025-26 season, establishing himself as the focal point of the Portuguese club’s attack.
His goalscoring record has significantly raised his profile and could now open the door to a move to Serie A.
Estoril are nevertheless holding firm on their €12m valuation, despite having signed the Moroccan forward on a free transfer from Toulouse in 2024.
Morocco forward eyes biggest career move
Begraoui developed through the ranks at Auxerre before gaining experience with Toulouse and Pau FC in France.
He later moved to Estoril, where his development accelerated and he established himself as a prolific forward in Portugal.
Lazio’s interest now presents the Moroccan with the possibility of taking another major step in his career.
Lazio face €12m hurdle
The Italian club will have to decide whether Begraoui’s recent form justifies Estoril’s asking price as they assess their options in the transfer market.
For the Moroccan striker, a move to Lazio would represent the biggest transfer of his career and provide an opportunity to test himself in one of Europe’s major leagues.
Whether Begraoui remains in Portugal or makes the move to Italy, his emergence as a proven goalscorer has placed him firmly on the European transfer radar.
