Barcelona offer 35% ticket discount for Al Ahly match to celebrate Rodri signing

Barcelona have announced a 35% discount on tickets for their Joan Gamper Trophy match against Al Ahly, with the promotion launched to mark the signing of Manchester City midfielder and Spain captain Rodri.

The discount will apply to every ticket purchased for the fixture. Supporters can claim the reduced price by entering the code “Rodri” during the online ticket-buying process, with the discount applied immediately.

Barcelona completed the signing of Rodri, whose full name is Rodrigo Hernandez, from Manchester City in what has been described as one of the biggest deals of the summer transfer window anywhere in the world.

The Catalan club are expected to present Rodri to their supporters on Wednesday, before the team faces Al Ahly in the Joan Gamper Trophy. His unveiling is set to provide the main focus around the match, with Barcelona using the occasion to welcome their major new arrival and offer fans cheaper access to the game.

The fixture will be played at Spotify Camp Nou. Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 Cairo time, and the match will be broadcast on On Sport.

Barcelona’s decision links the ticket promotion directly to Rodri’s arrival. Fans buying tickets for the match can therefore take advantage of the offer by using his name as the required promotional code, rather than receiving a general reduction on tickets unrelated to the signing.
