Tazkarti raises fan card renewal fee ahead of 2026-27 Egyptian football season

Tazkarti has opened the renewal process for fan cards ahead of the new 2026-27 football season in Egypt, with the cost increasing to £E220 from £E150 last season.

The fan card is required for supporters wishing to attend any sporting match in Egypt. It is also used to book match tickets through the Tazkarti website, making renewal an essential step for fans planning to attend games during the upcoming campaign.

Tazkarti announced the new renewal price as preparations begin for the start of the Egyptian football season. The company has set the fee at 220 Egyptian pounds, marking an increase of 70 pounds compared with the charge applied during the previous season.

Alongside the higher price, Tazkarti said the renewed fan card would come with additional benefits. One of those benefits will be a free subscription to the Watchit application during the month of Ramadan.

The company also indicated that further benefits would be available, although it has not yet disclosed what those additional features will be. No further details have been announced about the timing or nature of the other benefits.

The new Egyptian football season is scheduled to begin on Friday, 21 August, with the opening round of the Egyptian Premier League. The first round will be played across three days.

Fans will therefore need to ensure that their fan cards have been renewed if they intend to attend matches in Egypt and use the Tazkarti platform to secure tickets. The card remains a necessary requirement for match attendance, while the ticket-booking process is carried out through the company’s website.

The renewal announcement comes before the opening round of league fixtures and introduces a new pricing structure for the 2026-27 campaign. Although the fee has risen from last season, Tazkarti is offering the Watchit subscription during Ramadan as one of the confirmed benefits attached to the renewed card.

The company has not yet provided details of the remaining advantages promised to supporters. For now, the confirmed changes are the start of fan card renewals, the increased price of £E220, and the free Watchit subscription during Ramadan.

The Egyptian Premier League’s opening round will mark the beginning of the new season, with matches spread over three days from Friday, 21 August. Fans seeking to attend those games will be required to hold a valid fan card and use Tazkarti for their ticket bookings.
