Galatasaray consider Anderlecht midfielder Mario Stroeykens in Turkish transfer move

Belgian-DR Congo midfielder Mario Stroeykens is being linked with a move from RSC Anderlecht to Galatasaray, with the Turkish champions reportedly considering a transfer for the 21-year-old.

Stroeykens plays as an attacking midfielder and has been with Anderlecht’s senior side since joining from the club’s under-21 team in January 2021. He remains under contract in Belgium until 30 June 2028, while his current market value is €4.5m.

The possible move would take him from the Jupiler Pro League to Turkey’s Super Lig. Stroeykens has yet to make an appearance for Anderlecht in the opening matches of the 2026-27 campaign, and has also not featured in the club’s Europa League qualifying games.

Born in Zellik, Belgium, Stroeykens holds both Belgian and Democratic Republic of Congo nationality. He is a right-footed midfielder and has spent his entire senior club career at Anderlecht.

Galatasaray’s interest has emerged with the player tied to a long-term contract, meaning any agreement would require the Turkish club to negotiate a permanent transfer rather than wait for his deal to expire. The rumour remains unconfirmed, with Stroeykens still an Anderlecht player and contracted to the Belgian club through June 2028.
